Coach Richard Post

Covenant Christian School’s fifth annual Coach Post 10K & 5K Run will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at beautiful St. Andrews State Park. The mission of the Coach Post 10k/5k Run is to raise support for the Covenant Christian School Foundation and visionary projects, such as expansion of facilities, technology, science and Fine Arts programs, tuition-based scholarships, athletics, and classroom budgetary needs. The Coach Post Run has been a great success these past four years. As we plan for our fifth year Run, we are preparing for a 500 runner event!

CCS is honored to be able to hold this annual event in memory of a well-loved and respected husband, father, PE coach, Boy Scout leader, swim instructor, and Elder Emeritus, John Richard Post, Sr. Ask anyone who grew up in the St. Andrews area of Bay County or attended Jinks Junior High School between 1950-1988 about “Coach Post” and you will hear fond stories of a man whose life has been summarized in these three areas: Faith, Family, & Fitness. In all of these areas, Coach Post demonstrated and shared his love of these three Fs with all who came in contact with him. Coach Post also volunteered his time as PE Coach at CCS for five years after his retirement from the Bay District Schools system. It is impossible to estimate how many young people and adult lives have been touched in some way by this humble man of God. It is our prayer and hope that through this Run, Coach Post’s legacy will continue on and that as he would want it, the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ will be glorified and praised.
